Ballroom/Latin
Class Information
Our Ballroom and Latin dance classes are suitable for beginners, improvers and advanced dancers. Both classes are split into the three levels so dancers can learn at their own pace whilst also socialising with the other levels. Our classes are designed to give you a general understanding of all eight dances, waltz, foxtrot, quickstep and tango in the ballroom and cha cha, rumba, samba and jive in the latin. Come on your own or bring a partner. We don’t mind. Couples are never split up and encouraged to learn to dance together.
You can start your classes whenever it suits you, no need to wait for a new term, we have a beginner teacher who will go through the basics of the dance styles with you. We have a class on Thursdays 8.35-9.35pm.
We offer social evenings for practise, annual Dinner Dances, weekends away and dance holidays. There are always opportunities to put your newfound skills to the test.
What to Wear?
We always recommend you wear comfortable clothing and footwear that you can dance in. No flip flops, trainers or hiking boots! Ladies try and wear something with a heel and gents wear shoes that are leather soled. We can order dance shoes in once you feel its time to take your hobby to the next level…
